The book finally released on January 30, 2018. Ahh! What a good feeling this is. It is an internal satisfaction that is hard to describe. In the days prior to releasing this project to the world, I had the expected feelings of insecurity, of failing. I felt vulnerable. What kept me going was the fulfillment that I told a story from a very deep corner of my heart and with the guidance of my brother, everything would be fine. After that, I felt a huge sense of relief and accomplishment. I wrote and released my first book. I did it! Now, I am just enjoying the moment, a very special moment!
About three years ago, I literally embarked on a parallel journey; a cruise crossing the Atlantic from New York to Cork, Ireland with the purpose of initiating the tour of my past to write Sun Night. Three years later at another Atlantic ocean crossing, this time from Ft. Lauderdale to Lisbon, I typed the last few chapters, the most difficult to describe. Within these came Reflection, the last chapter where my most profound feelings were translated into words. It is the reflection of light that my brother shined on me to guide me throughout this whole process.
Today, I begin carving a new road, a blog titled Reflections, in which I aim to share the latest news about the book, to inspire, and to share stories and the art inspired by Sun Night. I invite you to share your childhood memories and the moments that made you who you are today. If you are interested in sharing your stories, contact us and tell us about it. I look forward to hearing from you.
